Brian Moody is the Executive Director of Douglas County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) in Tuscola, Illinois where he has been responsible for economic development, business recruitment and retention, and community development since 2005. A native of Tuscola, he completed undergraduate studies in political science at Illinois State University and holds an MBA from Eastern Illinois University. Brian manages the Douglas County Enterprise Zone and serves as president of the East Central Illinois Development Corporation (ECIDC). Currently he sits on the Governor’s Rural Affairs Council as chair of Rural Partners. He is the Class Director for Year 3 students at Midwest Community Development Institute. Brian and his wife Kate have a son in middle school and another in high school. Brian has been a firefighter with the Tuscola Fire Department for 27 years, the last eight of them as fire chief.
