Stepheny McMahon is the Assistant Director of Douglas County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) in Tuscola, Illinois. Stepheny has worked in community and economic development for 21 years. Originally from Sullivan, Illinois, she completed undergraduate degree in International Business at Illinois State University and holds a master’s degree from Western Illinois University in Community Development. Stepheny’s work experience includes downtown development, tourism promotion, business retention, entrepreneurship, public art, grants and incentives, and membership development. Stepheny has a passion for rural communities and historic downtowns. She and her husband, Mark, have two adult children, Madeline and Layne.
