Douglas County Vision to Venture Business Bootcamp--SPRING 2027
Inspired by the success of the Monticello Bootcamp, the Douglas County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) is launching Vision to Venture, a new, no cost program, to support entrepreneurs and grow new business in Douglas County. Small business development is vital to strengthening the economy and creating jobs, especially in rural communities.
Vision to Venture provides entrepreneurs who are considering a business idea a practical overview of what it takes to run and grow a business. Throughout the class, participants will write a business plan with the guidance and support of the class facilitators and community experts who will be invited to class not to sell anything, but to share knowledge in their area of expertise.

Eligible expenses for the start-up grant include rent, mortgage payment or utilities. A $2500 grant may also be given to an existing business that is under new ownership and/or looking to rebrand. This grant must be used with a pre-approved marketing firm.
